Thursday, November 24Pastor Ma’visSouls Redemption MinistryMama Judy Potts modeling her latest gift of Nigerian clothing, before leaving for evening at churchI was not pleased with my message the previous evening, so I decided to fast before praching tonight (Thursday). As usual, Judy decided to join me. Later on during the day, God laid on my heart that it is not about me but him; I should just preach the word as well as I can, and leave the rest to Him. That took a burden off of me, but I continued the fast, anyway. Pastor Ma’vis and his deaconess came by to visit, as we were sitting downstairs in the lounge – our room was being cleaned. Shortly after they arrived, Pastor Ajoku and his wife walked in and joined us. After visiting for awhile, Pastors Ma’vis and Ajoku walked outside and conferred for a while, together. After they rejoined us we moved upstairs to Suite 37, our residence. I pulled up some photos from last year’s visit and put them into a slide show for our visitors. The deaconess took Judy into the bedroom and when they came out Judy was wearing yet another tailor-made new Nigerian outfit. This one she wore tonight at our last service, before leaving tomorrow.Pastor Mike arrived and presented us with our plane tickets for passage from Warri to Lagos; he wanted to have them early and avoid any unforeseen pitfalls – such a wise young man. They began to depart, wishing us well, and advising us to rest. Charles’ wife arrived at 10 minutes ‘til 5:00 o’clock, in her pretty white Toyota Corolla. She transported us to church, using a new route, due to congested traffic, and we saw lumber for sale, and some nice looking homes.Song leaders leading Praise and Worship, while a child draws at Souls Redemption MinistryWe arrived at 10 minutes after 5:00 o’clock, and two young women were leading the growing congregation in praise songs.
